The iFi hip-dac 3 is the third iteration of iFi Audio's popular pocketable DAC/Amp line, the hip-dac. New for the third generation is a stunning Titanium Shadow color, twin USB-C ports with dedicated ports for charging and audio, a 3-way iEMatch switch, and improved circuitry for the cleanest sound reproduction.

The iFi Audio hip-dac 3 boasts a true balanced circuit to drive power-hungry headphones with ease. The iFi OV op-amp and low noise IC from Texas Instruments guarantee power delivery of up to 400mW @ 32-ohms or 6.3V @ 600 ohms through the true balanced output. How's that for power?
Improved internals for crystal clear playback
The iFi Audio hip-dac 3 features an updated version of iFi Audio's GMT circuitry. The new crystal oscillator improves sound by keeping transmission noise to a minimum, ensuring you hear your tunes with outstanding clarity.
Burr-Brown Chipset
The Burr-Brown True Native® chipset means file formats remain "bit-perfect" (unchanged). This means you are listening to music as the artist intended in the format in which it was recorded.
iFi uses Burr Brown extensively in their products because of its natural-sounding ‘musicality’ and True Native architecture.
S-Balanced Performance
S-Balanced Performance, first seen in the iFi Pro iCan, makes its way to the hip-dac 3.
S-Balanced technology extracts the maximum performance possible from the iFi xDSD's single-ended 3.5mm connections, ensuring you hear every in your music regardless of output.
XMOS x16
The XMOS 16-Core chip processes the USB digital input.
This low-latency XMOS microcontroller has greatly enhanced processing power. Compared to the current generation of eight-core chips, this 16-core IC delivers double the clock speed (2000MIPS) and four times the memory (512KB), as well as the latest SuperSpeed USB standard.
XBass
Get powerful bass that reaches deep and punches with authority with XBass®.
XBass® corrects frequencies in the bass region for an improved overall low-end presentation when playing music through headphones or speakers.
