The Fostex HP-A3 is a compact DAC/Amp designed for use with a desktop PC or laptop. With USB power, an AKM Hi-Res DAC chip, and multi-input/output support, the HP-A3 lets you enjoy high-resolution sound at home or on the go.

Say goodbye to those bulky and cumbersome AC adapters. Unlike most other DAC/Amps on the market, the Fostex HP-A3 does not rely on a separate AC power adapter. The HP-A3 is fully USB-powered, so you can plug it into your desktop PC or laptop and enjoy great sound immediately.

The HP-A3 DAC/Amp boasts a premium DAC chip under the hood for a clear and natural sound experience.

The AKM-built AK4390 DAC chip supports digital audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, so you can play back your favorite tunes at the highest quality available.

Dual Digital Input support so you can use your preferred audio source seamlessly

The Fostex HP-A3 supports USB and Optical input, so you can seamlessly plug into a wide variety of devices.

Plug into the USB port at the back of the HP-A3, set the input switch selector to USB mode, and connect the USB cable to your PC to experience next-level clarity and detail in the comfort of your desk.

Prefer an Optical connection? No problem. Flick the input selector switch to Optical mode and connect the HP-A3 to your preferred device to experience high-resolution sound on your preferred source.

Output Selector Switch, for seamless transitions to your devices

The HP-A3 features dual outputs, so you can enjoy high-resolution sound on headphones or speakers.

Set the Output Switch to Phone and experience great sound through the 1/4" Headphone Out.

Alternatively, you can pair the HP-A3 with a dedicated desktop amplifier and enjoy high-resolution natural sound through bookshelf speakers. The choice is yours.
