Monitor and control the iCAN Phantom with iFi Nexis

The iFi iCAN Phantom features an innovative network connection module called iFi Nexis.

iFi Nexis allows you to control everything from your smartphone. Monitor your iCAN Phantom's parameters wirelessly, update its firmware, and control certain functions all from within the iFi Nexis app.

Electrostatic headphones require specific power requirements to run properly. Set your amplifier to the voltage, and you risk damaging your expensive electrostatic headphones.

The iFi Audio iCAN Phantom addresses this issue with their innovative iCAN Phantom data cards.

The iCAN Phantom data cards allow you to set specific bias voltages to match your electrostatic headphones. You get options for 500V, 540V, 580V, 600V, 620V, and 640V - all of which feature a mini guide at the back, so you'll know which headphone brands work well with each data card.

Connect anything and everything on the iCAN Phantom

The iFi iCAN Phantom supports multiple input options for a wide variety of audio devices. Whether its single-ended or balanced input, the iCAN Phantom has it all.

Source inputs: Balanced XLR, 3x RCA (L/R)

Headphones: 3-pin Balanced XLR, 4-pin Balanced XLR, 4.4 Balanced, 6.3mm, and 3.5mm with S-Balanced technology.

Electrostatic headphones: 5-pin normal bias, 5-pin custom bias.

Preamp output: 1x Balanced XLR, 1x RCA (L/R)

Electrostatic-headphone ready - iFi Audio iCAN Phantom

Most standard desktop amplifiers require a separate energizer to power-demanding electrostatic headphones - not the iFi iCAN Phantom.

The iCAN Phantom combines iFi Audio's regular amplifier technology with its standalone iESL energizer to enable full electrostatic headphone support. 

The sophisticated circuitry benefits other headphone types as well, providing clean power with minimal noise for a true flagship-class sound.

Hybrid tube design lets you fine tune your sonic experience

The iFi iCAN Phantom features not one but two input stages, allowing you to choose between three different sound flavors to suit your sonic preferences.

The valve/tube and solid state hybrid setup enables three unique sound presentations:

Solid-state: Fast, clean sound.

Tube: Slightly more organic sound.

Tube+: Warm, thick presentation.

You can switch between input stages on the fly and adjust the iCAN Phantom's sound to your liking.

Capacitive Power Supply

The iCAN Phantom features a capacitive battery power supply like the ones in dedicated electrostatic energizers such as the Pro iESL.

A slew of 1,000V DC film capacitors are charged now and then by the AC mains power to ensure clean power delivery and low noise when driving sensitive electrostatic headphones.

PureWave Pro

The iFi Audio iCAN Phantom boasts a fully differential balanced output design that promises low noise, and reduced crosstalk for the cleanest sound possible.

Left and right balanced channels receive separate amp circuits which eliminates interference noise between these two channels.

iEMatch

The iCAN Phantom delivers massive power for driving demanding electrostatic headphones, but it also drives traditional headphones and IEMs exceptionally well.

iFi Audio's iEMatch circuitry ensures low noise when using the iCAN Phantom's 3.5mm or balanced 4.4mm outputs - perfect for driving dynamic and planar headphones and IEMs.
